Empowering Communities Through Education, Awareness, and Advocacy
Driven by a desire to support communities across Alaska, a group of volunteers founded Advancing Alaska. Collaborating with elected officials, community advocates, and everyday Alaskans, we are committed to creating a better future for all.
Our Mission
Advancing Alaska has a two-fold mission: empowering survivors of sexual assault by providing essential resources and support, and improving outcomes in our education system by recognizing and rewarding exceptional students and teachers. We are committed to fostering healing and resilience, raising awareness, educating communities, and advocating for a safer, stronger, and more hopeful Alaska.

A safer, stronger Alaska starts with us.
Sexual assault has no place in our communities. Survivors deserve justice, support, and the full strength of our values – faith, family, and personal responsibility.
Advancing Alaska was founded to protect victims, hold offenders accountable, and promote real solutions rooted in community and common sense.
"Together We Heal" reflects our belief that Alaskans don't back down from tough issues – we face them with courage and conviction.
Let's stand together for a better, safer Alaska. #advancingalaska …
